Unable to join within 28 days of CoS start date

Hello folks,

I'm stressed out about this problem I'm in and need your opinion.

So here's the thing -

I'm serving notice period in Company A in the UK.

I've been granted CoS and Tier 2 Skilled Visa by my new employer Company B.

Company B messed up the start date in the CoS that they generated for me.

The CoS start date is 24th October.

My last working day in Company A is 3rd November.

I've a family emergency to take care of in my native country. I'll be travelling home on 8th Nov and come back on 30th Nov.

I've told Company B that I'll only be able to join on 1st December, they said Ok and did not voice any concerns.

But reading through the internet I came across this 'join within 28 days of CoS start date' clause and that has got me sick and worried.

I can't skip the travel, its highly urgent.

Will I lose my visa? Has anyone gone through this experience?

The new company needs to add notes into the SMS system. They can change the date on there.
