British Citizenship for Family

Post by atto123 » Wed Oct 05, 2022 11:26 am

Hi All,
I , My Partner and my daughter have ILRs since an year, we qualify for Citizenship.
Below is what i understood in the process

1) I and My wife have to fill "Separate" forms (AN) and submit separately
2) My daughter (4 Years old) should be registered as Brit Citizen via MN1 form

My question is

Can we all register for Bio-Metrics at once ? can some one explain.

Thanks a lot

You can add all your family to your application.

You will need 3 biometric appointments.

Thanks for the response But i am not able to find any button or provision to add dependants. And it looks like i need to fill separate application forms , for me and my wife. For child MN1 form, three different in total

You add them within your form and the form will adjust

This is what i was referring to exactly

Each individual applying for naturalisation must complete a separate application form.
Therefore husbands, wives and civil partners wishing to naturalise, must complete
separate forms. Family applications should include separate forms for each child, either
an AN Form where the child is now an adult or an MN1 Form for a minor. We do not
need applications for adults or minors who are already British.

many have completed and added family to the one AN form. There will be a question in the form if family are applying with you.

This is asked numerous times on the forum for a long time now and there have been no issues.

If you really want to make 3 separate applications, then do that.

Complete the application for yourself first, then the form will ask if you want to add other people. It's a long and not necessarily straightforward form but it will appear once you completed all the information for the first person applying.

The guidance hasn't been updated since the paper days - they should really explain better ....

Yes you can add family members at the end of the online application (spouse, children, ...) - the system will adjust to the specific circumstances (form AN or MN1 as required).

But each applicant is still assessed separately, and approved individually.
In the paper days you had to fill in physical form for each person.
This is just my opinion as a member of this forum and does not constitute immigration advice.
Please do not send me private messages asking for advice.

One referee must be British and over the age of 25. The other referee must be a professional as listed on the UKVI list and can be of any nationality.
