Hello, many thanks for your advise.AmazonianX wrote: ↑Wed Sep 28, 2022 3:16 amThe relevant date for you is from 30th January 2018 which was your visa approval date.
Your 5yrs for ILR will be 30th January 2023 however you can apply 28days before reaching 5yrs in UK.
Therefore eligibility to apply for ILR presuming all requirements met is 2nd January 2023.
This is covered almost everyday on this forum. Yes you can and should. Apply as you rightly mentioned a few days before your visa expires, and have you biometrics done anytime after that, when you actually do qualify.lizclim wrote: ↑Wed Sep 28, 2022 7:34 amHello, many thanks for your advise.AmazonianX wrote: ↑Wed Sep 28, 2022 3:16 amThe relevant date for you is from 30th January 2018 which was your visa approval date.

As my current visa expires 22nd Dec 2022, do you think it’s alright for me to apply for ILR few days before and book biometric appointment after 2nd Jan 2023?
I’ve been residing in UK under Tier 4 visa prior to my initial Tier 2 visa approval date on the 30th Jan 2018.
Many thanks in advance.

Hi Good Afternoon,
Alright, okay. So, I will just apply for ILR before my current visa expires and attend biometric appointment when I am in the qualifying period (28 days prior to my visa approval letter's date) as discussed in previous posts?
Thank you!!AmazonianX wrote: ↑Thu Sep 29, 2022 8:53 pmCorrect

Letter from previous company isn't required. You've moved on.lizclim wrote: ↑Tue Oct 18, 2022 8:58 amHello there,
I’ve been with my current company for more than 1.5 year now.
I’m just wondering if I need to obtain a letter from my previous employer for absences for ILR application? (I’ve not been out of UK for more than 180 days py).
I am not confident that I’ll be getting a response from my previous employer at all.
Help please, thanks very much in advance.

Your passport is your evidence. It gets stamped every time you enter the UK. That would suffice.lizclim wrote: ↑Tue Oct 18, 2022 10:26 amTicktack wrote: ↑Tue Oct 18, 2022 9:49 amLetter from previous company isn't required. You've moved on.lizclim wrote: ↑Tue Oct 18, 2022 8:58 amHello there,

May I ask how can I evidence my period of absences from UK when I was with my previous employer please?
Many thanks in advance.
