Child MN along with AN

Post by prince99 » Tue Sep 20, 2022 8:02 pm

Hi ,
I am applying for naturalisation and try to add my child born outside UK (aged 5) for registration as British. My partner has ILR.
I got struck at couple of places
1.The application is asking 'whether child wanted to be registered as British if main application is unsuccessful ' should I say Yes here?

2. Child born on 23-august-2017 and move to UK on 2-Dec-2017 (tier2 dependant). Acquired ILR in April-2020. As there is gap of more than 90 days (Aug-2017-Dec-2017). Also out of country for 3weeks(August 2022) with us to India. Would that be problem in his registration as British, as the application is asking for 5yrs address ?

Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Absence limits don't apply to children - neither does the 5 year residency requirement.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Document checking

Post by prince99 » Wed Oct 05, 2022 9:57 am

Hi,
I uploaded and submitted all my documents for AN and Mn1. I got biometrics appointment next week.
Do I need to pay for document checking? I am assuming they will check them anyway?!!

Thanks

The document checking service by UKVCAS is only confirmation that you uploaded evidence under the different sections and that it is readable - it is NOT an eligibility check. That will be performed by UKVI. You can book it if you want, but all it will be is confirmation that eg. they can correctly see your passport and other evidence.
All advice comes from personal research and experience and should not be regarded as professional opinion.
