Similar situation, biometric appointment was 23 July and we still haven't heard from the UKVI
Over 3 months and nothing. No way to contact them other than post which also they haven't responded to
There is a medical urgency back home and can't figure out what to do!

Hello travelagain,
You can call the helpline number and post a request if it is any kind of emergency. Hopefully that will escalate it.

Thanks yes I wanted to try but there is no phone number or code which takes us to a person on the phone.
Any number you dial it is automated and just says goodbye and cuts the call.
What phone number and codes we need to dial for urgent issues?

I got through to someone very quickly on the helpline 0300 790 6268 today. However, they said only EU settlement claims are discussed on weekends and to call back on week days. There is no code for emergencies. You have to go through the normal codes, he said try Option 2 first.

Above turned out to be a waste of time. It doesn’t allow you to get through to an agent if you click the correct options

Finally, after a long wait of 7+ months my kid's BRP is received.
I filed a complaint twice, I talked to an MP to help me out. But it looks like home office takes its sweet time to process the application based on the priority and workload they handle. Being patient is the key.
