Documents for applying British passport for new born child from India

Hi All,

I am applying for a British passport from India for my new born child born August 2022.
Myself and my wife are British Citizens and living in India since early 2021.

Could you review the below set of documents that I am intending to submit and guide me if I am missing something.

1) Application form
2) 2 Identical photographs - one signed on the back by countersignatory
3) Birth certificate of child provided by local authority (I do not have a hospital certificate)
4) Discharge summary of my wife
5) Antenatal records of my wife
6) My passport & naturalisation cert
7) My wife's passport copy & naturalisation cert
8 ) Marriage certificate
9) Countersignatory's passport copy

Should I also be submitting any ID/address proof's like my driving license?
Any other documents you suggest?

The British Embassy in India would let you know what is required.

Not really!
Reading other posts, there are requests for additional documentation after few months of applying.
Hence double checking with other people that previously applied.

I am not sure if you have already applied or not but the other documents requested by Jalandhar vfs were photocopies of all documents.

Passport copy of referee, if you got OCI then its copy, copy of your driving licences both husband and wife. We also provided photographs of us as a family. We applied in August and so far recieved no communication or any updates. I hope this helps

Apologies, forgot to mention but there was another form we filled its called Parents details form and in regards to passports make sure to print all the pages in color for husband and wife.

Make sure to add photos of family like when the child is born and then picked up by family members etc etc. Also be prepared for atleast 7 months wait after you applied. Also take photocopy of all antenatal records like medicine reciepts etc etc.
