Child's Naturalisation Application

Post by 9elizabeth » Tue Jan 03, 2023 7:36 am

Hi there,
I got British Citizenship though Naturalisation two years ago. My wife still has ILR and does not want to apply for naturalisation.
My daughter has ILR (born in 2006 in India).
Can you please suggest me which form do I need to fill in for her Naturalisation application?

Children are register as British on form MN1. Only adults are naturalised.

Thanks CR1. I though its MN1. But the following question puzzles me and I am selecting these bold options as my answer. But when I go on filling up the father details (who is british Citizen) it does not show the UK as conuntry to select as his nationality.

Choose which category to apply under. You are a child under 18 and:
(Required)

You were born in the UK

You were born outside the UK

Your parent is British by descent and lived in the UK or a British Overseas territory for at least 3 years before you were born

Your parent is British by descent and you and your parents (unless they are legally separated) are now living in the UK or a British Overseas territory

You were born on or after 13 January 2010 and your parent was serving in the UK armed forces

You were adopted abroad by British citizen parents

You were born before 1 July 2006 to a British father and your parents were not married

One or both of your parents is applying for British citizenship

Other - apply at the discretion of the Home Secretary

Any idea please??? Thanks in advance

Your selections are correct.

The child is not applying on the basis of a British parent
