Your daughter need ILR first. I'm guessing she wasn't born here.sreekan2 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 06, 2023 9:55 amHi All, I got a question about my daughter's "registering as British Citizen".
I am a British citizen by naturalization,
my wife and 8-year-old daughter are currently on a family visa and will be eligible for ILR in Jan 2024(5 years completed),
Can I apply for ILR for my wife and apply for registration as a British citizen for my daughter at the same time?
Thanks in advance
Why would you think that's possible? For anyone to be granted British Citizenship, they need to be free from immigration restrictions. That's what ILR is.

Both the other parent and the child need to either have ILR or have resided in the UK for 10 years in order for the child to be able to register for British citizenship.
