UK Visit visa - VFS notification vs. Passport collection emails

Hi there,

I had recently applied for my mother's visit visa from Pakistan. The biometrics were done on 15 Dec.

On 12 Jan, we received a notification from VFS "The processed visa application for GWF.... has been received at the VFS", however, to date we have not received the passport collection email.

In the past when we applied before, both emails used to come on the same day, and sometime with in the hour. Is they delay due to a number of applications or could there be some other reason?

Also, does the UKVI sends visa refusals via email, or do they still give the printed letters.

Wait to hear from vfs about pick up. There are still delays.
