Asylum seeker Advice please

We are asylum seeker family now complete 6 months, waiting for home office initial decision. I received letter from asylum team, Its mention in it we are going to come to your address on so and so date, the purpose of visit is to ensure that you have received all the Asylum support services.


I want to know, What is this, Any possiblity for detained, We have two children. Please Advice

If that's what the letter says that's what it is for. This is not the USA.

Have you had an asylum decision yet? If not then you can not be removed and as such you would not be detained.

As for the visit - it is to make sure you are where so say you are, that the house is not being occupied by others, that all the other things that should be in place are in place. In part it is also to make sure the house you are in is fit for purpose and you are able to cope.
