Hi,

I applied Tier 1(General) Migrant visa on (Oct 10th, 2008) and got my visa on (Nov 18th, 2008). During the time of my application, I am single. My marriage got settled on Dec 10th, 2008. I am planning to apply dependent visa to my wife immediately after the marriage. I have following queries:

1) Can I apply the dependent visa immediately after the marriage?
2) During my application time, I have shown the maintanance funds of ( 2800 GBP) from period of (1st july,2008 to 5th oct, 2008). Now my question is while I am applying the visa I have to show the maintance funds of 2800 + 1600 GBP (or) just 1600 GBP alone to my wife.

Yes you can, provided you should have got the marriage registration certificate, since this has to be submitted

No. The amount in your wife's account would do. Just get her to sign a letter that she would have access to those funds and would be using the same under the maintenance criteria.

But my wife is applying as a dependant and she would be showing her bank statements of 1600 GBP.
Wouldn't that be enough ?
