Can I Move To Ireland To Get A Job?

Post by Lazarus » Wed Nov 12, 2008 7:48 am

I have been in the UK almost 12yrs now and over 5yrs now, I have been awaiting a decision from BIA on my case as I was previously an over stayer.

I am now a qualified scientist, and there are loads of jobs in Ireland to my specification and that which I can manage and have the necessary academic and work experience for.

What are the chances of me applying for a job and being offered, Can the employer apply for a work permit?

See this for more detail.

The best thing to do is to approach your prospective employer first.

Bear in mind that if you leave the United Kingdom, you may not be able to re-enter if things don't work out in Ireland.

As the situation with the Republic of Ireland (Common Travel Area) is complex, you should get advice from an immigration lawyer before making a decision.

Would you need an Irish visa?
