Apply Naturalisation for Kids

Post by baltrical » Mon Feb 06, 2023 10:56 am

Hi,
I am planning to apply for Naturalisation for my kids(age 11 and 10). We came to the UK via Tier 1 G, I got a British passport two years back, and I am planning to use it for my kids, where the ILR expires on Mar third week of 2023.
Planning to apply for Naturalisation for my wife(ILR Expire end of 2024) next year.

May I know which application form Do I need to fill out and what documents I need to submit?

Please help.

thanks.
regards,

Childeren are Registered as British. Only adults are Naturalised.
Planning to apply for Naturalisation for my wife(ILR Expire end of 2024) next year.
Any reason you don't apply for all of them together?

Form MN1. The form will tell you what documents you need and it is also detailed in the MN1 guidance notes.
Char (CR001 not Casa)

So, kids can apply for British passports directly after the end of the ILR term if one of the parents has a British passport.

Not applying to my wife due to financial issues. So planned to apply by end of this year.

Can you give the link who has the same situation, I will the documents he provided.

thanks for the quick reply.

Hi, As said I started filling MN1 form.
But i dont know what to fill in this field.

Consideration under British Nationality Act

Choose which category to apply under. You are a child under 18 and:
(Required)
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You were born in the UK

You were born outside the UK --> Selected this.

1) Your parent is British by descent and lived in the UK or a British Overseas territory for at least 3 years before you were born

2) Your parent is British by descent and you and your parents (unless they are legally separated) are now living in the UK or a British Overseas territory

3) You were born on or after 13 January 2010 and your parent was serving in the UK armed forces

4) You were adopted abroad by British citizen parents

5) You were born before 1 July 2006 to a British father and your parents were not married

6) One or both of your parents is applying for British citizenship

7) Other - apply at the discretion of the Home Secretary
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
In above 7 choices which one should i need to select ???

Hi, Quick question.
In Letter of Consent, there are three pages
1) Parents consent
2) GUardians consent and address
3) Childs consent

I have signed Page 1 and attached in UKVCAS.
But my question is they mentioned full letter must have full address, but full address in page 2.
Do I need to give address in Page 2 ?
Do I need to get sign from Child on Page 3 ?
Please clarify.
-----------------------------------------------
The letter must:
give their full names and addresses
say that they agree to let you apply for a British citizenship
