Yes, the XML file should work. The guidelines define what information should be there in the file.
My comments are in no way meant to be advisory. I have no professional knowledge of immigration. These are based on my own experience, convictions and personal interpretation of publicly available information.

Processing time clarification

Post by c781 » Wed Feb 08, 2023 10:23 am

Hi,

Just trying to understand the processing timeline. I would really appreciate if someone could
help to clarify for me please.

I understand the fact that HO would take their time to decide the outcome of the application. However, I would like to understand if the processing time mentioned on the HO website is based on the moment we submit the application online or from the day we are done with our biometric? Take for example, an application for a Tier X was submitted on 2nd January and Biometric was done on 15th January. The processing time mentioned on the HO for this tier is 6 weeks. So do we count 6 weeks from 2nd January or from 15th January?

My apologies if this is been clarified somewhere in other posts.

Hope to hear from the experts here.

Thanks

Counts from biometric enrolment date.

Thanks for sharing your opinion.

I recently had a telephone interview which went really well. I used the Business bounce back loan to payback the VC firm within 1 year because I got the funding in 2020 and my business was shut because of covid lockdowns. The loan was a cheaper option and I explained all the things including the terms of payback. Do you think it will be fine or I might get into some trouble. please share your valuable opinion.

It was a very short interview (15-20 min), He asked me few things about my company i.e Revenue generation, business segment and the reason of paying back VC funding within 1 year.
The questions were easy to answer. The biometric was done on 3 Sep 2022.

Note that Tier 1E applicants and their businesses are unique and each one is quite different from the other. Interview questions on this route are strictly tailored for each applicant and their business. The experience of others does not reflect anything on your case or application. Your application experience could very well be different

There is no reason to be alarmed. UKVI often seeks clarifications on some evidence when processing your application. That is all
