Switching from PBS dependent visa to PBS main applicant from the same company

Post by SAS0513 » Thu Feb 02, 2023 11:58 am

Hi All,
Hope you are doing well!

Need some advice on the below topic.
Let me first explain the current situation.

My wife got CoS from a Company(X) and is the PBS main applicant.
I was working in UK on PBS dependent visa with a different company(Y).

My wife contract is ending at the end of her visa validity (this year 2023).
Now I changed my job and joined the same company(X).
And I have received a new CoS from the same company(X).

Questions:
1. Can I go ahead and apply for a new PBS visa being the main applicant (from PBS dependent)?
2. Should I apply the visa for all members of my family(Spouse & Kid) together?
3. Should I apply first for the VISA and later for my family members separately?

Any help would be very helpful.

Thanks in Advance

I have a doubt on this.

Does employer have to go for defined COS for PBS dependant or Undefined COS ?

As the PBS dependant is applying with in the UK.

Please advice

1. You should post in your own topic. It is rude to tag your questions onto other members threads.

2. Defined CoS is for applications made OUTSIDE the UK. Undefined CoS is for applications made WITHIN the UK. The visa category of the applicant is irrelevant!!

Thank you. Apologies for any inconvience. I am trying to be helpful for this candidate too as the case is exactly the same

This candidate is also PBS dependant who is switching to PBS Main applicant within the country.

So based on your input, it clear that his Employer should

select the route as Skilled worker

and

Select the category as Skilled Worker (Switching immigiration category - ISC liable)

in the SMS. Employer should have already undefined COS number allocated.

Please correct me if I am wrong.
