Meesha wrote: ↑Wed Dec 28, 2022 6:27 pmDear Forum members,
I am going to apply for my husband on spouse visa from Pakistan, got nikahfied last year while he was in UK on business visitor visa (he has 2 years business visitor visa) and he stayed 5 months here afterwards (I know this can not be used for visa as it was Islamic marriage only and I have no plans to mention this as hold no value for visa). Got marriage registered in Pakistan 4 months ago while I was there.
I am British national and earning 35K/annum since 3 years. Divorced 2 years ago, have 3 children aged 13, 11 and 9. My ex husband have no contact with us. I live in social rented house in London and receive Universal Credit which mainly is covering child care costs.
My questions are:
1. Do I need to stop receiving Universal credit? Is it going to affect spouse visa negatively? No you don't have to stop if receiving what you are e titled to and no adverse impact on application.
2. I think receiving benefits would not affect his visa, however do I need to attach UC statements where my status is single? I cannot show myself married on benefit system until he is in the UK as both partners need ID verification before being eligible for UC.
3. Do I need a letter from social renting services to show allowed numbers of residents at my current house, I do have a lease agreement, would it be sufficient? Tenancy agreement and no objection letter from landlord/housing provider suffices
4. Do I need anything for my children as I have full custody for them (I have no official document), my ex husband chose it this way and never contacted us.
5. What documents my husband needs to provide, he has IELTS, TB certificate and his bank statements. He has business partners in UK, does he need showing it? Bulk of the evidence is from the sponsor and no financial evidence or employment evidence of his acceptable for initial spouse visa application.
6. What extra documents we need showing? What else is required other than marriage certificate to prove marriage is genuine? Sponsor's letter from employer, evidence of subsisting relationship like call logs over time, chat records spaced over period of relationship

Many many thanks in advance.

While not able to state categorically its importance, you are applying based on being a spouse/married and evidenceof this willinclude photos of such occasion.
You can get a refusal for anything. From forgetting to add, payslips, letter from HR, bank statements, correspondences showing genuine relationship, evidence of relationship, pictures, wedding certs. The list is endless.
