How the 7 days rule is considered...?

Post by sureshep » Tue Dec 02, 2008 5:57 pm

Hi All,

I am planning to apply Tier 1 (general) this december 2nd week. I have confusion about the 7 days rule for maintainance finds.

1. I have taken 12 months of bank stmts - claiming period (01 Dec 2007 - 30 Nov 2008) where period from 01 Aug 2008 to Till Date never falled below 2.6 INR (more than 1800 GBP).

2. I have taken the letter from bank stating that minimum balance of 2.6 INR is maintained from 01 August. This letter was issued yesterday ie 01-12-2008.

My question is, since the stmt is 01 Dec 2007 - 30 Nove 2008 and the maintainance letter is issued on 01-12-2008. Will 7 days rule is also considered for maintainance letter also ? Pls correct me if I am wrong.

Also, for example - I submit the application tommorrow ie 03-12-2008 at VFS and from there VFS sends those to BHC UK or reaches on 08-12-2008.

Is 7 days rule considered on the day we submit at VFS India offices ?

Pls share your thoughts I am little confused. This helps me in filling successfull application. Awaiting for your earliest replies.

Suresh

7 day rule is only for maintenance, so it should be ok for u.

Application is not send to UK, its decided at the BHC. So u better submit to VFS fast.

Yes.

Hi apply4hsmp,

Can you please clarify one more thing for me. You are saying that "Application is not send to UK, its decided at the BHC. So u better submit to VFS fast".
Do you mean, the visa is issued in BHC India itself?
I'm not sure about the process, that is why I'm asking.

Thank you in Advance.

Kumar,
All the Tier1 applications submitted in India are processed in BHC India itself. It depends on the region(North, South) from where you have applied. If you are applying from South India, All the applications will be processed in Chennai BHC.

Did you mean 2800GBP or it is 1800 GBP for Indians?

Hi Suresh,

Yes.

For evidences of Maintainance funds, rule applies for both - the bank statement of latest 3 months and the letter from the bank - both should not be older than 7 days.

Note that this is very strict rule... and no exceptions for the same...

Hi all,

My doubt is ...is that out of last 3 months only the latest month's statement should be not more that 7 days or all the 3 months bank statement should be not more than 7 days...For ex. if oct , nov and dec then dec month's statement should not be more 7 days..

because for oct and nov I have already and only for dec i can take now..

thank you..

Hi smav
It will be always better if you take the printout for the entire 3 months (for e.g 10/sep/2008 to 10/dec/2008) together. In this way the printout statement will come out as a single statement with the period for the above mentioned 3 months.. In your case the 3 months statements will look as 3 separate statements . It is better if you 3 months statement together and not more than 7 days .

All the Best

One doubt for statement: Does it matter if i give bank statements from Delhi though i have account in Bangalore and I’ll b applying from Bangalore.....
I prefer Delhi as I know somebody in ICICI there, and it will be easy for me to get all the statements and bank letter in proper format. Also, they will be respond Integra properly. the bankers in Bangalore are reluctant to give their phone numbers for Integra checks.
