fingers crossed

I was thinking like eVetting is first then they ask or is it other way around?
Usually other way around (they need to make sure everything else is okay before eVetting as eVetting has an expiration date) but they still can ask for more stuff/clarification after eVetting

Remaining 2021 applications, have you started to see updates about your applications? My e-vetting process was completed in mid-March and there are no updates after so far. (Application date July 2021). I am just hoping to be part of June ceremony.

Husbands application (Sept 2021) finally got evetting letter just before Easter, filled it out and sent it back right away. Still not yet completed or viewed as then the application didn't get submitted by citizenship to garda vetting till after Easter. I'm hoping he will get it by the end of the year, really hoping for June, or if not for the next ceremony at the latest.

Thanks for your reply. Hopefully they will complete all remaining 2021 applications till June ceremony.

Same here - currently waiting for eVetting status change as the most recent one was "submitted by registered organization". I guess I just need to wait until NVB will process it, ISD sees the result and (hopefully) throws me into the June ceremony stack.

Might be around time to start acting. Request an FOI for starters, see the progress.

Did they respond to your FOI?
https://www.gov.ie/en/service/839fb-mak ... i-request/
Under the Act, a request for records must be acknowledged within two weeks and, in most cases, responded to within four weeks. A week is defined in the Act to mean five consecutive weekdays, excluding Saturdays , Sundays and public holidays.
Assuming you applied by email, I would expect you'd receive acknowledgement a few days after and get the response on the 29th day.

They're supposed to either give you a list of documents that they can reveal to you under FOI (see post2067986.html#p2067986 for an example list of documents they could show you) or refuse to grant FOI for whatever reason they state.

Did you submit a form to foi@justice.ie (or by post) and if yes, how long has passed?

Your application is taking very long.
Do you not have a solicitor?

They generally do not really respond to applicants without a legal representative.
I would suggest you to give your case to a solicitor as they are immigration experts and specialise in this area rather than writing to the department yourself.

You should have received form nvb1 by now.

You can (and, probably, should) at the very least check with them if they sent you the vetting invitation - it could be lost.

If you're already satisfied they didn't you can indeed start preparing for a JR - see post2020380.html#p2020380 for what to start with (FOI request guidance is outdated, but rest should be intact).

Forgive my complete ignorance but what is e-vetting? I paid via the portal in January of this year (applied March 2021) and have heard nothing since.

Anyone else applied before or on July 2021 didn't get e-vetting invitation yet?

I applied in early July 2021, and no e-vetting at all. I sent multiple emails to them and didn't get anything rather than a standard unrelated copy-paste.

Submit a FOI request.
Contact your local TD.

2023 applications are getting their e-vetting in a matter of days to weeks. Outrageous. Something fishy going on!

Have you written to the Department?

Request FOI. Write to your local TD. The 2023 applications are getting e-vetting in a matter of days to weeks! Outrageous! 2021 still waiting. Something fishy or even scandalous going on!

You need to bring this to the attention of people who can hold them accountable. The Department doesn't care. You pay enough taxes to expect better services from the public service than the drivel they are delivering!

Hi, I haven't had the need yet. But I know people who have. Waiting since 2021 is simply unacceptable, particularly when the 2023 applications are already getting e-vetting.

Bring this to the attention of your local TD, or even better ones who are from the opposition/alternative parties to that of the Minister!

Same here. Check out the 2023 timelines. People applying in 2023 are getting approved. Outrageous! Need to bring this to the attention of your TD! IDS is up to something shady!
