Re: Spouse Visa UK - Extension

I managed to sort it.

One quick question, I submitted on 6th may.

does it matter if dated documentation uploaded I.e emp letters, payslips etc is more than 28 days old, after date of application?

Since our Biometrics visa appt is on 1st june and the docs uploaded will be from 6-8th May?

Thanks
Shyam

Date of application, as already mentioned, and relevant to date of documents, is the date you submit and pay online. It is not the biometric appointment date.

So just to confirm,

I submitted visa 6th may, and submitted the documents on 8th May, it wouldn't matter as long as the dated documents were valid (not older than 28 days) when I paid for the visa submitted?

Thanks

Thank you.

Just a quick question regarding title register. I have included the £3 online downloaded copy from land registry. It says its not official. Is this sufficient, or does it need to be official title deeds?

The property has no mortgage and was bought with cash. I've also included a recent council tax bill and utility bills.

This is what I submitted for initial spouse visa. So is it okay for this FLR as well?

Please advise.

Thanks
Shyam

On another note, I'm having few issues with uploading certain docs on ukvcas.

They're not oversized at all or have special characters in the file name. Only character I have used is underscore on file names and it's worked for the rest of my files.
Hi guys, although the guidelines say to not use special characters in filenames when uploading, isn't a dash/hyphen also a special character?

I have submitted my documents now but I used underscores and spaces in my filenames and they uploaded fine. I.e. This is the filename format I used :

2023_Apr_Sponsor Halifax Bank Statement.pdf

Will this be an issue? Or have there been cases where they ask to reupload again with hyphens and no spaces?

Thanks
Shyam

You are overthinking. A hyphen or underscore is not a 'special character', which is @£$% for example.

What about brackets, I've used these aswell ().

Will there be no problem?

Thanks

Why do you save/name the documents so complicated. Just give them a simple name, eg XXXX Bank Statement. You shouldn't use brackets, they are special characters.

Some of them I had to do in 2 parts so I named them :

2023_Apr_halifax bank statements (part 2).pdf

Will it cause issues?

Just name then in simple basic file names. UKVI knows what they are looking for, you don't have to be so pedantic in naming your files.

I have already uploaded and submitted them though so can I really do much apart from reupload them, that might cause confusion as there will be duplication?

If you have clicked submit then there is nothing you can do.

Just a note for future applications, don't over complicate things, it is totally unnecessary. Also pointless asking about how to do stuff with the documents when you have already uploaded and clicked submit.
