Skilled Worker Visa Extend

Hi there,

I am due to apply for Skilled Worker visa extension at the start of summer next year. I know it is a bit too early but just wanted to confirm if the extension application follows the same documentation as before i.e. CoS from employer, maintenance funds etc.

Is the visa application fee £700 and IHS £624 (per year) per applicant.

There is a webpage on Gov.UK which talks about extension https://www.gov.uk/skilled-worker-visa/extend-your-visa but it doesn't cover bits around fee/IHS.

yea very similar. Might not have to show prove of funds if you have been in the UK for a while.

You need a new CoS and pay the fees.

Be aware that the current fees can (or not) be changed for the next fiscal year

Can you please also confirm when the 'continuous period' starts?

so in our case, the BRP were issued on 1 Nov 2021, and we (self, partner and daughters) arrived here on 15 Nov 2021. From which date the 5 year period starts? I understand as per the current guidance we can apply for ILR 28 days before the 5 day period is completed.

The qualifying period starts from the date the initial visa was issued and valid from. Your date of entry is irrelevant.
