Irish naturalization

Post by Hamada2030 » Wed Jun 07, 2023 10:14 am

Hi everyone,

I have received an e-vetting invitation from the Irish citizenship office. I have filled the online ISD part. I received an acknowledgement after that. Just wondering when will I receive an email from the police department for vetting process? Do u advise me to contact them? If yes, please can you give me contact details?

Regards,

Hamada

It takes a few days/weeks.

You just wait until you get an invitation from Garda - takes from days to a month. If you didn't get anything in three weeks, check with citizenship, but it just takes time.

I'm at the same stage. Filled and submitted the online application on the 22nd of May. Received confirmation email with Evetting no. on the 24 of May. That email stated that there will be another email giving details on the next steps. I've been waiting for that email since the 24th of May!

I sent to citizenship to follow up, but I haven't received anything from them, other than the auto-reply.

It's only been two weeks, not excessively long. They might not gotten to you yet at NVB.
Check your spam folder, though - it might be there.

Thanks for your reply. No problem in waiting at all.. It's just I guess I was panicking cuz I didn't really know what to expect. I thought you're supposed to receive that the following day or sth. I'm happy to know it's normal

No, it's a completely different organization (Garda vs ISD); all ISD can do is look through your details and forward them to Gardai. It's up to them now when and how soon they'll issue the proper invitation.
