British citizenship application with children

Post by toofunky2000 » Mon Apr 10, 2023 11:56 am

Hi all,
I need some advice on my upcoming UK citizenship application due it Jul-23.
I have ILR completing full one year in Jul-23.
I have my 3 children aged (17, 15 and 13), all have ILR granted in Sep-22.
My wife was granted with an ILR in Nov-22.
Can I apply for my children UK child registration/citizenship at the same time as mine?
Or should I have to wait till their one year completion in Sep-23?
Please guide.
Thank you
TAK

Yes.

When does the oldest child turn 18?

Fine to apply for the children with you.

Note that if your child turns 18 while the application is still in process, UKVI will contact you to pay the extra £80 as once 18, the child will be expected to attend the ceremony.

CR001,
Can I file their application now with using MN1 form as they have spent more than 10 years in the UK lawfully now? That could save some time, please advise on this too.
Thanks

Just saw someone replied on my query with their experience.
I hope this would apply to our circumstances as well?
Would you please comments, whether should we go for MN1 route or the ILR route?

Thanks,

Not sure what you mean by this?? There is only one form for children, form MN1. Very unclear what you mean by 'ILR Route'!

If you children have ILR, as you have stated, simply add them to your application when you apply. Keep things simple.

I mean to say,
Should we go for child registration under 18 using MN1 form via 10 year route now? This would be for my children alone.
Or should we wait and apply for my children with me in Jul via 1 year completion of ILR.?

Hope this clarifies.
Thanks

You need to decide what route you go for. Strangers on an internet forum cannot make that decision for you.

Hi all,
I am preparing my application for the UK citizenship. I have a quick question on my ILR covering 12 months for the citizenship eligibility.
My ILR was granted on 07-07-2022
The BRP issued on 11-08-2022
Which date should I use to countvmy eligibility?
Please share your experience.
Thank you,
TAK

The key date is when you were granted ILR, use that date.
The date on the BRP is the issue date of the card.
This is just my opinion as a member of this forum and does not constitute immigration advice.

Many thanks for the prompt response. Will do that, makes sense too.

Hi all,
Before I proceed with the payment for Citizenship fee. I would like to ask a quick question to the forum.

I have applied for fee waiver for my 3 children, one of them granted 2 of them refused.

How would I proceed with the payment? There is no code insertion field. Should I make a separate application for my fee waiver granted child?

How do I connect both my application with 2 other child with it?

Please guide if you come across with the same situation.

Thanks,
TAK

I am in the same situation. After completing the application, it takes me directly to WorldPay but there is no option to enter a code. Sent a email to their technical team at ApplyOnlineE-Support@homeoffice.gov.uk in and got a response saying everything is working fine from their end. This is despite showing them the screen-shots.

Please could you help if you finally managed to enter the code, mine is expiring tomorrow.
