NRI certificate question

My Nephew wants admission in Indian college on the NRI quota. One of the documents for NRI quota admission is the NRI certificate.

In order to get the NRI certificate, as per the VFS website I need to be outside India for 182 days. I have lived in the UK since 2012.

I travelled to India on the following dates in the last financial year (2022 - 2023)

17th April 2022 - Left the UK and reached India on this date.

21st Sept 2022 - Left India and reached the UK on this date.

05th Nov 2022 - Left the UK and reached India on this date.

30th Nov 2022 - Left India and reached the UK on this date.

Is the arrival and departure date also calculated in these 182 day?

Am I eligible for an NRI certificate?

NRI certificate is issued at the request of an Indian Passport holder (resident in UK) for the purpose of admission of his/ her son/ daughter/ ward in Colleges/ Universities in India under the NRI Quota or for any other specific purpose.
