Child dependent visa

Post by Zed_fara » Mon Jun 19, 2023 9:42 am

I am on Graduate Visa. My pregnanct wife is coming on tier4 visa this year. Will our child be eligible for dependent visa when she applies for Graduate Visa in 2024?

You will need to add more information to answer this.

What course level is your wife taking?

Be aware that to be eligible for graduate dependent visa any dependent must be a dependent on her student visa prior to applying for PSW.

Note that the government announced a plan to restrict the ability of students to bring dependents,

For my understanding it's not clear if you will be able to apply for a dependent visa in 2024, unless the masters is considered a research degree. (The majority of masters degrees are thought not research). Hence, you need to consider what to do with your status beforehand.

PSW (e.g. graduate visa) rules stipulate that you can only apply for dependents already on the student visa, however, it appears to be that there is exception for children born in the UK.

Can you clarify? Is she coming pregnant, or coming with a new baby?
I do not give immigration advice. I refer you to Immigration Rules, guidance, other online content and to your sponsor.
