New 2023 scorecard

Post by Ola2022 » Mon Jun 26, 2023 5:53 pm

Help needed from anyone who has used the recent scorecard, My spouse is in the process of applying for her naturalisation certificate, however we noticed that there’s a requirement to submit type A proof and type B proof for residency. She has employment details summary and bank statements for all the years but both are under type A proof. But for some of the year, she is missing type B such as utility bills etc. As type A carries 100 points each, can she submit two type A Proof for each year?
Thanks.

I won't expect it to be possible - Type A proofs seem to be made of things that are showing continious activity in the country (person working/paying for things/etc), while type B is physical letters, showing the person actually lives in place where they're stating to live since they're delivered to the place.

How did your spouse manage to not have any proofs of this type? All the requirements for naturalisation for a long time were expecting proofs of residence as letters addressed to you for utilities/etc. Was she named on anything?

Could you request a duplicate bill perhaps?

The old scorecard system allowed this, but the current model has changed to require one of A and one of B. A is proof of financial activity; B is proof of residential activity. Duplicating proof A doesn’t substantiate proof B. The guidance suggests she should submit A plus an affadavit where she doesn’t have B in a given year and not to duplicate proof A.

Thanks for the info. We had already gotten documents such as med insurance, and Gp visit records but then those were no longer in the lists. She wasn’t on any utility bills until the last 2 years unfortunately. Last question is, are we going to write separate affidavits for each year that is not up to the 150 points or a single affidavit covers all. Thanks

Just one affidavit and mention you had 150 points via insurance/GP etc in those years. Lots of people
in the same position- it happens when they change the criteria without warning.
