Toddler's previous address history + eligibility

Post by monushh » Sun Jul 02, 2023 10:36 pm

Hello all,

I am planning to add my child's naturalisation along with mum's.

My child is 1 year old, born outside the UK and is currently an ILR holder.

My questions are:

1) Child's ILR received- Sept 2022, therefore, has the child got to wait to complete 12 months before getting eligible to apply for naturalisation or can I add her with mum's application(who is already eligible)?

2) What will be correct option to select here please:
"Have you lived at your current address for 5 years?" Yes or No.
As the child is only a year old so obviously haven't got all 5 years history.
However, when selected 'No' its asking to provide previous addresses up to 5 previous years and there is no option to skip?

PS: Not sure, if this additional information is going to be useful but just wanted to add- I, the other parent is a British citizen + Mum is an ILR holder, eligible to apply naturalisation for herself and now planning to add this child's(toddler's) application as well.

Any advise will be much appreciated.

Many thanks.

Hello, Monushh

Just to confirm, at the time of child birth what was the status of other parent (father)?

Hi Hina,

Father was on ILR and mother on Tier 2 skilled worker visa at the time of child's birth.

Child had to get PBS dependant visa to enter in to the UK, and then switched to ILR following mother's ILR.

Thanks

Forms are generic, provide the available details meeting your circumstances I.e. the situation of the child. Not so much strictness around child application so should be fine.
