Standard visa requirements for visitors and sponsors?

Post by hanging sward » Wed Jun 28, 2023 5:52 am

Hi everyone I hope everyone is doing well I am wondering if I could get detailed information regarding the sponsor to a a visitor(my sister or sister-in-law) in regards to looking after my wife during her pregnancy in the last trimester and delivery. What do I need to show as a sponsor and what is needed from a visitor I am willing to bear all the expenses for her travelling and stay during her stay and back.
Any guidance will be much appreciated.
I'm looking forward to your support.
Thanks
I burn my existence to satisfy their soul.

Whatever you do, don't mention; in regards to looking after my wife during her pregnancy in the last trimester and delivery.
. That my dear is work. Visa would be refused before the ECO checks all the other documents. This means that she obviously has nothing else doing evidently.

Apply for a standard visitors visa if you sister-in-law is eligible.
No sin in failing, you just have to try and try again!

I speak to another person regarding the matter you highlighted that it comes under form of work.
It is rather a family support.

This was just an advise. You're always free to do what comes best to you.
Family support is when your family calls you, send you money and visits you.

When your sister/S-I-L leaves her life and everything behind to stay with you in the last trimester (3-4) months. Possibly cooking, cleaning, feeding, helping to the hospital, helping with school runs and little bits here and there.
There's no way you're telling the ECO that there would be no gratification involved. Even if it's the truth, he/she wouldn't believe you, because they can't do it. Frankly, neither can I.
No sin in failing, you just have to try and try again!

In our society and culture people do beyond this as a family support.
Yes, you are right as it doesn’t seem logical in usual practice.

While this is same in other cultures and society, do consider or align to the society wherein you are now and needing permission for your visitor to come to.

Thanks very much for the information
One more question if the sponsor is on universal credit could he or she still can sponsor?
Will this affect the application?
What can be done in this regards?
Thanks

I guess it depends on your definition of sponsor. Do you mean you'd be footing the travel bill or just sending the invite saying "John" would be residing with you?
