Tier 1 general rejected - ACCA Qualification

Post by lwinmar1 » Wed Dec 10, 2008 11:12 am

Hi

A friend of mine has been refused Tier 1 general (out of country application) on the ground that she is an ACCA affiliate.

Although NARIC do not provide confirmation of ACCA qualification, she has a letter from ACCA stating that ACCA qualification is equivalent to Masters degree and she claimed 35 points but they refuse to give 35 points on ACCA.

Could anyone advise on this issue.

Thanks.

This should be a mistake I have just gone to the calculator on the Ukba website, it dose score 35 points member/affilate . I guess your friend should apply for admin review and attach the points calcultor as reference.

The only thing I saw is that from the points calculator you can not claim the english points from the Acca qualification.

Is this a new development? I'm pretty sure English Language points were awarded for an ACCA in the past... might be a recent development.
