Driving Penalty & Expired Passport

Post by khalidhaku » Tue Jul 25, 2023 6:00 pm

Dear Sir/Madam,

My son will apply his British Citizenship and made cover letter for 2 points which are explained in the letter;

**As part of my application process, I must apologize for the state of my foreign Pakistani passport that expired on the 11/2022, as it seems to have been misplaced during the process of renovating my house. I recently had a conversation with a member of the staff from UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) regarding my passport, and I was advised to enter a future passport expiry date during the application to proceed with my citizenship application. The reason for this unusual request is due to the unfortunate loss of my previous passport that was expired.
Furthermore, I wish to disclose a driving penalty that occurred in the past. On 2nd July 2021, I received an SP30 fixed penalty notice for exceeding the statutory speed limit on a public road. This resulted in three penalty points and a fine of £100, which I promptly paid. I am grateful that the matter was resolved without any court involvement. Since then, I have been dedicated to upholding traffic laws and driving responsibly**

The following 7 columns of Convictions and other penalties for your kind help. Which column he need to 'Tick' please.

At any time have you ever had any of the following, in the UK or in another country?
Only select one answer at a time. If you need to give more than one answer, you can do so on another page.

1. A criminal conviction

2. A penalty for a driving offence, for example disqualification for speeding or no motor insurance

3. An arrest or charge for which you are currently on, or awaiting trial

4. A caution, warning, reprimand or other out-of-court penalty

5. A civil court judgment against you, for example for non payment of debt, bankruptcy proceedings or anti-social behaviour

6. A civil penalty issued under UK immigration law

7. No, I have never had any of these

Thanks and Regards

Regarding expired passport, the explanatory is ok, but you should also include documents proving residency since the passport expiry date, such as P60, Council Tax bill or other official type document. Note that bank statements or utility bills are not accepted for the naturalisation application.

Write an email (quoting reference and personal info) and explain the situation.
Use all these addresses: british-citizenship/nationality-enquire ... l#p2093594
Note we can’t tell you when or if they will confirm .
