The next in-person Ceremonies will be in Autumn as the Justice Minister mentioned in their answer below dated 4th July 2023 :

Does anyone have any clue of when in autumn will the ceremony be? Did the Ministry do a ceremony in Autumn last year?

I would assume it will be sometimes in September as well . As it appears one ceremony will be in the Autumn and one in the winter 2023:

"I can confirm that the Division is in the process of planning additional Ceremonies in both the autumn and winter of 2023. As the Deputy will appreciate, these events require considerable planning" :

how does these invitations for ceremony work? do you have to confirm the invitation (register) or they expect you to be there at the date and time they let you know in letter?

You click the button and fill your details in to confirm you're attending, but date and time is fixed and given by them in the email.

I am going by the last ceremony in March . Most certificates were delivered by week 5 or latest week 6 after the ceremony.

They didnt even send most of the certificates for last ceremony.

Surely it will effect next ceremony dates.

Guys

Mine was on the 19th.
Cert delivered in 2 wks.
I than applied for passport online and today the postman dropped an envelope in my letterbox which contains my shiny new red passport.
Passport card is also at printing stage.

I thank immigration boards for letting me talk through my case and ask questions if needed.
Everyone was so helpful here.

Yes i am happy to answer your question.

Ceremony on the 19th June 2023.
Naturalisation certificate received by Regd. post on 4th July 2023.

Irish passport applied via DFA Passport Online. Paid fee for 36 pages book and Passport card.
After applying Online i received these at the end and these 3 needs to be printed in black and white (no color):
... A cover Page
... A witness form
... A barcode tracking for posting supporting documents

Supporting Documents posted the next day and here is the list of documents i posted.

... Cover page (This you will get after you submit Fee on DFA website)
... Original Birth Certificate
... Original Country of origin Passport (This can also be attested photocopy but i submitted the original)
... Original Naturalisation Certificate
... PSC card color photocopy front and back (No attestation/ certification required)
... Electric Ireland Bill (Color internet printout)
... AIB bank statement (Printed via AIB kiosk machine and stamped by the bank teller)
... Original Revenue correspondence (P21 balancing statement)
... Identity Witness form signed and stamped by Gardai Pearse street

These documents were posted in a sealed envelope and a barcode was sticked on the envelope which you can easily printout after you submit your fee. No fee was charged by an Post as this is pre-paid.

Documents were received by the passport office the next day and tracker was updated.

I can also post my Tracker timeline.

Here it is:

... 6/July Alert: We have received your application. You must submit your supporting documents.
... 7/July Processing Application: Documents received
... 14/July Processing Application: Your application is being processed.
... 27/July Printing: Your passport book is being printed.
... 27/July Passport book Dispatched
... 28/July Passport book received by Ordinary Post
... 28/July Your Passport card is being printed

I hope the above helps.
Thankyou

This is very helpful, 2 questions regarding this;
- Is original passport mandatory? Application cover page says it is not, confirmation email says it is :). Also the webpage says it is not mandatory if you send the copy of PSC card. (I cannot send my passport, I have mandatory trips in August and September)
- When did you get your original documents back?

The original/copy passport I dont know I'd love a definitive answer myself as we have trips in Aug/October/December so we cant send off the passport the rest of this year. Also in Jan we have to post off the US passport to renew that by mail so if we have to include the original US passport it could easily be a good bit into 2024 before we could even apply for an Irish passport.
If we could just send the PSC card and a certified copy of the passport that would be better.

Regarding return of documents - they return them after issuing the passport.

Actually lads I'd say this answers it:

https://www.oireachtas.ie/en/debates/qu ... -05-10/37/

No requirement for original cert of naturalization or original foreign passport IF you can supply a copy of PSC or certified license.
I'd say their forms/website just isn't updated correctly.
