Salary mention in the COS is wrong

Post by intoage » Tue Jul 25, 2023 9:53 am

Hi, I have got a job offer from the UK, and they recently assigned a COS for me, unfortunately, the salary mentioned in the COS is wrong, They put £22500 Yearly. The job code is 3234, and it is not under the Shortage occupation list either also I am not a new entrant. I have found that the going rate is £24900 yearly and hourly should be £12.77. I have provided my finding to the employer. My finding was

Salary calculation: Hours of work to be worked per week: 40 Hours. Calculation:
40 hours * 12.77 Per Hour = 510 x 52.143 weeks
per annum = 26592.93 per annum (This is above the
24,900 Per annum minimum requirement and at least
12.77 per hour

Also, they put YES on the new entrant segment. The employer said nothing to worry they will make a sponsor note and it will be fine. My question is, is it ok to put a sponsor note? or do they have to withdraw the cos and apply for a new one?

Please help me.

Sponsor note should be alright and be sure this is done before you apply.

Thanks for the feedback. what do you think about the new entrant one? Am I falling under a new entrant? I am 30 years old, I am not switching from Ph.D. or student visa. Also, i am applying from outside

Post by intoage » Fri Jul 28, 2023 2:48 pm

My employer put new salary on a sponsor note. How long it will take to approve the sponsor note?

There is no approval process for a sponsor note - the sponsor just adds the note on the SMS and the decision maker should be able to see it
If you haven't completed your visa application form yet I'd suggest highlighting the existence of the sponsor note in the additional information section at the end of the form

Yes, a CoS from the sponsor is mandatory and contains all the relevant details of the job and salary etc
Char (CR001 not Casa)
