Residency proof question (as spouse of a citizen)

Post by Nduja » Thu Jul 13, 2023 8:09 am

Hi all,

I am applying as the spouse of a citizen (my wife is an Irish citizen) and I am unclear on the residency docs we need to provide.

Page 9 of guidance document refers to “three different proofs of residence … for both applicant and spouse”.

I presume it means one document for each month for me and one different document per month for my wife, not three each per month?

Thanks!

The Citizenship Guidance Document.
Can these be joint proofs or they have to be separate for each of the applicant and spouse?

I would assume so too, or maybe joint will do?

Not sure - I would expect joint would do, but no idea if that would fly in the end.

It's not explicitly mentioned in the guidance - by utility bill they would most likely mean electricity/water/etc. I'd say go for it if no better options.
