ILR Tier 2 Application - Priority Service

Post by Geordie2023 » Mon Jul 31, 2023 1:38 pm

Dear All, I'm a Pakistani national and will be submitting my ILR application soon (I've been living and working in the UK) on a Tier 2 visa. I wish to get a faster decision by paying the priority fee. A friend who recently submitted her ILR application has told me that she wasn't given the priority fee option when she submitted her application earlier in July. I was wondering if anyone else had encountered a similar issue.

Thanks.

Consent for the Home Office to verify information from third party sponsor

Post by Geordie2023 » Fri Aug 04, 2023 2:23 pm

Dear all,

Could I please double check if Part 3 of the consent form needs to be signed by my employer? (I'm on Tier 2 visa.)

Thanks!

If you are on Skilled Worker visa and meeting the requirements by yourself, making financial or cost implications by yourself then no relevance of Part 3 to you as it refers to 3rd party sponsor.

In the best of cases 3rd part sponsor not allowed so it will be written as Not Applicable.

ILR Tier 2 application & English language requirements

Post by Geordie2023 » Wed Aug 30, 2023 7:02 pm

Hello, I've submitted my Tier 2 ILR application, but was surprised to see that I wasn't asked to submit to submit evidence of English language proficiency. Has anyone else had this as well? Thanks.

There's an exemption as stated online.
https://www.gov.uk/english-language/exemptions
You do not need to prove your knowledge of English if you’re applying to settle using a:

Skilled Worker, T2 or tier 2 visa
Not a qualified immigration adviser. Use links and references given to gain confirmation and/or extra information.

Tier 2 does not exist anymore. The skilled worker route (which replaced it) has no English language requirements for ILR

ILR documents validity

Post by Geordie2023 » Mon Sep 04, 2023 7:46 am

Dear all, I submitted my ILR application on 22nd August; however, my biometric appointment is scheduled for 16 September. Could you please advise which date will be taken into account when considering the validity of my supporting documents? I've uploaded my sponsor's letter which is dated 4 August. Do you think I need to get an updated one and upload that? Thank you.

Documents must be dated on or before the date of application, which is the date you submit and pay online and not your biometric appointment
