Renewing Tier 2 / Skilled Worker Visa ?!

Post by TryllZ » Tue Aug 01, 2023 4:27 pm

Hi All,

I have a friend living in the UK, non-native English speaker. He came to the UK on Tier-2 visa and has been working in the same company, same job. The visa is coming to an end, and needs be renewed.

He said the Tier-2 visa is no more and has been replaced with Skilled Worker visa.

The question is if he needs to submit IELTS for renewal of his work visa as this was submitted the 1st time the visa was applied for ?

Thank You

It's just a name change and will require similar documents. If he has met the English Language requirement earlier on should not need to do so again.
