Dependant ILR (10-year based)

Post by iybutt » Thu Aug 04, 2022 3:56 pm

Hi there,

Quick Question:
I got my ILR last year on a (10-year based). My wife and kid are on FLR-m (5-year route)
but their 10 years will be complete in 2023. (before extending their FLRM 2.5 )

so going to plan to apply their ILR (10-year based ).

So what kind of documents are required for their ILR

e.g
do I need to show my income/tax?

Regards
Imran

It seems obvious. They'll need to follow the same steps you followed last year. 10 years route docs are the same regardless of partners immigration status.

So whatever docs you submitted, replicate it.
No sin in failing, you just have to try and try again!

Under long residence, they will apply on their own and must qualify on their own. Your status is NOT relevant

Yes, two separate applications.

Set LR doesn't have the concept of adding dependents. Each applicant must meet the requirements individually.

Thanks CR001,
Really appreciate for you reply.
Quick confirmation. for my Child for ilr application either that will be SET-m , SET-O or SET-LR ? (there is confusion) and do i need applying on my behalf or my wife behalf?

My wife is applying SETLR : written on her visa Flrm ( Spouse/Partner leave to remain)
My kid : written on her visa Flrm (Dependant Leave to Remain)

can you please confirm ?

Kind Regards
Iybutt

Set LR if the child has 10 years legal stay. Child applies on their own as the applicant.

You were advised on the long residence when you asked these literally last year as you see above

Hi there,

Really appreciated your help (CR001 and zimba).

Two quick questions:

1- After uploading the documents on spora ( there should be a button of submit) but i have checked... i couldn't found. in 2020 i got that button (submit) when i applied my application. (not sure about that)

2-Secondly next couple of month i have to change my address(move house). so should i use this Link for update my new address.

It appears this is no more the case anymore; that submission is now when biometrics appointment is attended.

Either that or have some access to your current address to pick up anything delivered by courier.

There is no requirement for flr fp or flr fm visa holders to update ukvi if address changes.
