Hi GJ10,

Nopes, I havn't received any response from HO. Not even after applying UT. I'm just loosing hopes now. And also because its Christmas time coming up, I dont think any body will be working that time. So it seems nothing is going to happen with my application in Dec now.

Keep posting updates.

Regards,

Have you received any reply. I am still on the same status.

Is there anybody else on the forum with application outstanding from SEPTEMBER or BEFORE ??

Application Sent: 25th Sept
Status: Still in Consideration

GENERAL WORD OF ADVICE

Post by GJ10 » Tue Dec 09, 2008 4:47 pm

HI ALL,

CAN YOU PROVIDE GREATER DETAILS WHEN YOU POST YOUR MESSAGES, LIKE...

- CHANGE IN VISA CATEGORY (STUDENT, WORK PERMIT, SPOUSE...Etc)
- OUT OF UK THEN WHICH COUNTRY AND WHICH EMBASSY
- CLEARER TIMELINES
- ANY OTHER FORM OF COMMUNICATION RECIEVED ON APPLICATION

THIS FORUM IS AN INFORMATION SHARING GROUP AS WELL AS A SUPPORT GROUP....

GREATER INFORMATION HELPS BETTER UNDERSTANDING AND SUPPORT.....

REGARDS,

GJ10

Thanks for posting the timeline
Did you send in your application by special delivery next day- it is just that I sent mine and it should have arrived yesterday but royal mail tracker says still in progress... getting worried but looks like it wasn't "next day" for you as well if you sent by SD

I had to resend it - FedEx through CitySprint was a disaster. I used UPS and was delivered overnight the morning of 12 Dec. Let's see what happens.

Hurray got my Visa !

Post by sumu » Sat Dec 13, 2008 8:08 pm

I had applied Tier 1 from UK . Switching from Work Permit to Tier 1.

Had applied on 26th Nov
Reference letter on 29th Nov
Visa Stamped on 10th December.
Received all my documents in Royal Mail on 11th December .

I just had 75 points and applied on my own . I did speak with some consultants and they all were making things worst and asking for all the documents which i couldn't get from my employer.

I just ignored them and applied on own.

All the covering letter I had taken was from this forum.

My sincere advice to everyone is don't apply thru consultants if you have all the documents.

My expense was just 750 + 39 (UK NAIRC) + 12 (SPECIAL Delivery) + 2 + A4 Letter Pack from Poundland.

congratulations sumu and tier1_yahoo. Its good news.

Guys,
any idea if there are any jobs. The job market seems to be very dark at the moment. I hope it starts getting better in Jan/Feb.

WP to Tier 1 applied on 8th Dec

Post by RichM » Mon Dec 15, 2008 11:00 pm

I have also applied from UK on 8th Dec. WP to Tier 1

Have few queries..

1. Does my WP becomes invalid after getting the Tier 1 Stamp
2. Do I need to go outside country and enter again for validating stamp?
3. Is there any timeframe within which I need to re-enter UK after Tier 1
4. Can I continue with existing employer without declaring change in status from WP to Tier 1?

Please let me know,
