Is there anyone who has a template for an employment support letter?

My boss asked me for it.
Have a read below and the link

The employer’s letter should confirm:

! you or your partner are employed there
the job title or position you or your partner hold
! how long you or your partner have worked there
! the type of contract (for example, permanent, fixed term)
! what you or your partner earn before tax and National Insurance
! how long you or your partner have been paid your current salary
! the payslips are genuine
You’ll be told exactly what documents to provide when you apply online.

https://www.gov.uk/uk-family-visa/proof-income
Before my current divorce, I also had a short marriage and divorced around 15 years ago. As not many know of that marriage, I have forgotten all the details about it (dates, etc.), and I don't have any divorce certificates. Do I have to mention that marriage in the application form?

This is only a complication in my application form.

Should you refer to it, the be ready to provide the salient details and document indicating the dissolution of the previous union as it is a requirement to show you were free to marry before getting hitched again.

Thanks for your quick reply.

I have a degree of Absolute from my previous marriage (dissolved in 2022), and I have mentioned the kids, and I am still in touch with my ex and kids. I see them almost every day. but I was married even before that, around 15 years ago. I do not have any details about that marriage (dissolved in 2018), and I didn't have any kids from that marriage.

It doesn't matter if you don't have any children from your first marriage. You need to mention this marriage. If you can't remember the dates of you marriage you will need to find the paperwork for this

My wife's (spouse) application was submitted, and documents were uploaded on October 10, 2023, and her biometrics were given on October 6, 2023. She was told that a typical case takes between 4 to 6 weeks to process. She was given a SIM card for the UK at the time of biometrics.

Since all her documents were complete, we were anticipating that she would be granted a visa within 4 weeks. Now it's just been over 6 weeks. We have not heard anything back from HO yet.

Can you guys tell us if it's normal or not? I hope it's not something to worry about...

Timelines are an estimate and can take longer.

UKVI is still within their stated target.

If you apply outside the UK you’ll usually get a decision within 24 weeks.
Also, why did you upload documents after biometrics?

I am sorry, I made a mistake. I uploaded documents on October 4th, and biometrics were given on October 6th.

Someone has told me that if HO needed any more documents, they would have let you know in the first two weeks. Now it's just a waiting game.

Yes, it's still within UKVI's time scale, but she was told from her biometric staff that most cases were resolved in 4 weeks and max 6 weeks. Thats what happened with most of her friends, but she has been waiting over 6 weeks now. I am getting worried, which is why I am seeking your advice.

Thanks for your reply

Current service estimate seems to be 8 weeks -https://www.gov.uk/guidance/visa-proces ... ide-the-uk
they'll most likely send you an email informing you that's not enough time for them to make a decision or decide in that time. But yes, it's a waiting game.

Worry doesn't help. Best case scenario is what what given, it can take way more than 6weeks. Timeline link already given to you.

My wife is travelling for the first time to the UK at the end of this month.

1: Does she need a COVID-19 vaccine certificate?

2: Can I also leave my job and look for a better one? I might have to stay on job seeker allowance for a few weeks.

3: What salary threshold do we have to be at when applying for her extension? And how many months of wage slips would HO need?

5: If I employ her from my own company and pay her wage into her bank account, will that be considered? I am the sole director of the company.

1: Does she need a COVID-19 vaccine certificate? It is not a requirement to travel right now

2: Can I also leave my job and look for a better one? I might have to stay on job seeker allowance for a few weeks. Your decision to make, does not affect immigration matter right now

3: What salary threshold do we have to be at when applying for her extension? And how many months of wage slips would HO need? Things are not so clear yet, let HO come up conclusively with recently proposed changes. If requirements stay same then 18,600 and 6months. Watch out.

5: If I employ her from my own company and pay her wage into her bank account, will that be considered? I am the sole director of the company.
