Query regarding Surrendering of Indian Passport

Dear team,

I have submitted my surrender certificate application along with my Indian passport in the VFS Goswell application centre on 11 August. As per the HCI London website, the processing time is 10 working days.

Since it is now more than 10 days, I am bit worried as I need that certificate to apply for OCI.

I have contacted the VFS helpdesk for an update and they mentioned it is pending with the High Commission of India in London. I dropped an email to high commission on inf.london@mea.gov.in but no response.

Can someone pls confirm how long it really takes on avg to get the surrender certificate?

Any other way to contact HCI London to see what is going on?
