Good character guidelines

Post by engfaraz » Sat Sep 02, 2023 2:26 pm

I notice that the case worker guidance for good character requirement for naturalisation has been updated on 31 July 2023. Specially for fines and non-custodial sentences, if an application is made after 31st of July, 2023, there does not seem to be an automatic refusal. Can someone confirm if my interpretation is correct.

Specially in my case, I had a speeding offence in August 2020 for which I received a court fine in April 2021. This means that I could only apply for my naturalisation in April 2024. However, from the changes above it seems to be me that I should now be able to apply without an automatic refusal.

What do you guys think?
