Hi,
Good Luck! I will apply in 2 days using super priority, and will pay for the soonest appointment if i have to, the waiting will kill me otherwise. Definitly add a cover letter, i wrote one and will submit along with my supporting documents, i explained that my visa was not for an english course, and highlighted which immigration rules mention only English language course visas are now excluded. This is also what a lawyer i consulted suggested i do, however, there's always a chance that caseworkers may never read the cover letter. But worth having i think.dantheman21 wrote: ↑Tue Aug 29, 2023 5:39 pmHi,
I have submitted the application via super priority, now waiting for my biometrics appointment on the 19/9 (earliest free appointment I can get, the application alone has already cost me a fortune ). Will keep you updated.
But now I am thinking if it is worth including a cover letter to emphasise that the short term study visa was NOT for English studies, or will I make it worse?
I have submitted my biometrics today and got a successful email in less than 5 hours!AmazonianX wrote: ↑Wed Aug 30, 2023 4:11 pmNo harm in putting the cover letter and explaining as you did.

You claimed in your post that you entered with a new short-term study visa:The evidence you have provided to us confirms that you left the UK on the 26 November 2016 with leave you then re-entered the UK on the 03 May 2017 your leave was still valid however you then advise that you left the UK on the 10 July 2017 your leave expired on the 23 June 2017. You then re-entered the UK on the 23 September 2017 with Leave to enter as a student which was valid until 01 October 2018.
But this clearly contradicts with below. There is no short-term visa you returned with on 03/05/2017. Am I missing something ?17/09/2013 - Arrived in the UK on T4 student visa
26/11/2016 - Physically left UK after a fail in examination (had to retake some exams in Uni the following year)
24/04/2017 - T4 visa curtailment notice received, new expiration date 23/06/2017
- However, I physically left the UK on 26/11/2016 thinking I might overstay my T4 visa
03/05/2017 - Returned to UK via 6 months SHORT-TERM STUDY VISA (as advised by Uni) to retake exam.
10/07/2027 - Left UK to apply for new T4 study visa for the rest of my studies
21/09/2017 - Arrived in UK under T4
29/11/2018 - Work under T2 visa
24/11/2021 - Switched to dependent visa (partner on T2 Health and Care Worker visa)

Sounds good, do you know by any chance when will I be able to challenge in administrative review? How long does it usually take? My current BRP will expire on 22 September 2023 (in 10 days).
I see , thank you. I'll post here if there is any update.zimba wrote: ↑Tue Sep 12, 2023 4:41 pmAR can be applied after visa refusal
