Invited to 2nd of October Ceremony
By email and yes, applied in '21.
The timelines are tight, but theoretically possible.
The circumstances of this discordant application timeline are unusual and known (sharing the specifics would not be general enough for a forum like this). This specific case would not be indicative of spousal applicants experiencing distinct trajectories as a common or expected outcome.meself2 wrote: ↑Thu Sep 14, 2023 11:54 amThe timelines are tight, but theoretically possible.
Ask through a TD maybe?
Also it's not unusual for spouses to differ in processing - see post2129227.html#p2129227
There’s not really such a thing as spousal applications for naturalisation - as in two people applying in conjunction. Similar processing times are coincidence - the applications have always been separated and processed by different officials.johndonut wrote: ↑Sat Sep 16, 2023 12:57 pmThe circumstances of this discordant application timeline are unusual and known (sharing the specifics would not be general enough for a forum like this). All that might be true, but the example you used was not a case as you described. They are independent applications, but all of the dates -at least as far as the E-vetting invitation - were identical. The discrepancy was about communication, not processing. You suggest that it this is just coincidence. Maybe it is. Doesn't matter to me. Regardless, it is not an example of what you intended to underline.Vadrar wrote: ↑Sat Sep 16, 2023 2:54 pmThere’s not really such a thing as spousal applications for naturalisation - as in two people applying in conjunction. But now they explicitly reject multiple applications for naturalisation, spouse or not, if arriving in one envelope. The guidelines are clear about this, and we’ve seen plural applications returned to sender for repackaging as entirely independent applications, each needing dedicated documentation.
FBR is the exception- that process does accept sibling applications as a joint application in one package.
I didn’t underline anything or provide examples. I’ve no familiarity with your case at all and didn’t reference it. I simply quoted your thread to add my, independent, reply about the generality of plural applications.johndonut wrote: ↑Sun Sep 17, 2023 5:24 pmAll that might be true, but the example you used was not a case as you described. There were invites on Wednesday this week.rajqo wrote: ↑Sun Sep 17, 2023 8:52 pmso tomorrow we have 2 weeks to october ceremony... are invites finished? didn't see anyone getting any invite for the last week or so.. I need to know if I should wait until very last minute and can get invited even 5 days before the event or there's like some minimum notice period? I paid 950 in july already so the next step is invitation to ceremony (so far still didn't get anything) and have flights out on 23rd so just need to know if they will still be inviting people even that last week starting 25.9. A bit ridiculous but what can we do.
not sure what would be their full capacity. either they should have invited all the 2020(if any)/2021(all)/2022 (remaining) applicants or invited everyone who had already paid their citizenship fees irrespective of their time of application. as usual, justice dept continues to work on their own without transparencyLast ceremony had 2 weeks' cut off period - I would say you would know my mid/late next week,
