Can you confirm that E-vetting Invitation is received through email or mail?

If received through email what email is used.

I applied in July 2022 and nothing received yet.
It should be through email (you fill your email on the naturalization application).
It might be a bit too early for you - there's still 10000 applications in backlog. Monitor timelines on the forum.

Not necessarily too early, there are November 2022 e-vetting processes that have been complete.

What needs to be taken into consideration is that every application is unique and won't necessarily take the same amount of time, there are way too many variables (e.g. slow ISD officer, fast ISD officer, applicant's nationality, number of countries applicants has resided in, any offences committed by the applicant, which countries the applicant has resided in.) so my assumption is that timelines can vary a lot even if ISD is supposedly processing chronologically.

No, the initial invitation is sent from ISD (not sure about email - I got mine by post; others can chip in).

NVB email from Garda (mentioned above) are sent after the invitation from ISD has been completed and processed.

I’ve just realized we are talking about two separate things but connected:
I’ve got my invitation for vetting in May 2023 after applying for the actual citizenship in November 2022.
Yesterday(14/09/2033) i’ve got the actual vetting form from the NVB/Garda.
Hope this makes sense now.
You APPLIED in November 2022 and already received the NVB evetting link?

It’s really great to see they are going on chronological order.
Same here, applied in Nov 2022 and in the same stage with the same date of e-vetting invitation and response. Good things happening, I hope all get sorted soon.
Good Luck to Everyone.

Similar here: I applied in December 2022 and received an acknowledgment in March 2023. Then the e-vetting link on 22 May, but nothing happened in the last 4 months. If you receive an email from NVB, it likely means I'll hear from them soon as well. I hope you get your NVB soon.

One of the best explanation.
Every case is different and there are many many variables that we need to think about…
I’ve applied in Nov. 22 and did my e-vetting(garda form) last week.
This DOES NOT mean that everybody that applied in Nov 22 will move at the same pace with my application…
Best wishes to everyone.

Hi,

From your experience how long will take after the vetting process is completed and disclosure view to the letter of approval or refusal?
Thanks!

I got Garda vetting invitation in May this year, and I’ve been waiting for 4 months now to get another link to complete my Garda vetting but I got email from ISD today
(Upon review your submission was deemed ineligible for the following reason(s):
The County of your residence was not completed in the required field (Address line 3). As a result of the above detail being omitted from your form, your Vetting application has been deemed Ineligible. Please revisit the original link issued to you and complete a new vetting application in order to progress to the next stage of processing.)

I’ve resubmitted another form but don’t know if I need to wait for another 4 months to get another link to complete my Garda vetting?

Depends on ISD workload. Most likely your file was untouched for a while and now they got to it.

I'd hope you'll get eVetting in a few weeks, but that's just my assumption.

New citizenship ceremony will be on 2nd October in Dublin.
Hopefully this will speed up the process a bit..

https://www.irishimmigration.ie/citizen ... -2nd-2023/
It's not going to speed anything up. If they wanted to speed things up, they would forgo the need for a ceremony entirely to clear this backlog. All the ceremony does is take time away from some of the same staff to work on and attend these ceremonies, which is therefore time they are not dedicating to processing applications.
Glad you posted this hot take. I will expect a slower first response to my application! Think high level it looks like some people applying in 2023 have had quick applications hopefully with the new May 2023 form and the points system it continues to get quicker!

I cannot for the life of me understand why they don't make it a web form and make the web form fields mandatory! this will prevent people from returning the forms without the required info.. like such a waste of time and effort for everyone involved.

I then hoped to hear this week on progress and have heard nothing ? I have checked a few of the boards cant see any progress for anyone else either so I am wondering what is going on and whether there is halt in service ?
