FPN issues in 2021 - Good Charter

Post by Minnzzy » Mon Oct 02, 2023 5:23 pm

Hi Mentors,

I have read the forum and would like to reconfirm the following:

Had an FPN issued for speeding SP30 in July 2021 with 3 demerit points, paid for immediately with £100 fine. My ILR was granted in 2019. It is valid till July 2024.

1. Do we need to mention this and under which section ?

2. where do we need to mention this?

At present i have said No in the Convictions and other Penalties however mentioned this towards the end where it says Do you have any other details that you would like to be considered regarding this applicant and their application to be registered as a British Citizen?
In the below section
- I have mentioned my FPN and that it has been paid for.

Convictions and other penalties

At any time have you ever had any of the following, in the UK or in another country?
(Required)
Only select one answer at a time. If you need to give more than one answer, you can do so on another page.
A penalty for a driving offence, for example disqualification for speeding or no motor insurance - If I choose this and expand this it says ...Your driving offence
You must tell us about fixed penalty notices (e.g. a speeding or parking ticket) if you've received three or more. If you received a fixed penalty notice but didn't pay the fine and there was a criminal proceeding resulting in a conviction, tell us here.
- WHICH IS NOT TRUE in MY case.

PCN's even if numerous/ many do we need to mention this ... although it doesnt say anywhere.

Would appreciate your kind response.

Warm Regards,
Minnzzy

ILR Status does not expire (unless you are granted British Citizenship. In that case, your ILR is no longer valid). It's your card that is expiring. You can apply for the new one but the new one will also expire by 31 Dec 24 as the new online system will be implemented from Jan 25 to verify the status.

As you got the points in July 2021, you should wait until July/Aug 24 once your points are cleared and then apply.

1- Yes.
2- Under the other information section.

I am not sure about the conviction section you mentioned below. I'll leave it for the experienced moderators to reply.

I had a few PCNs over a period of 15 years in the UK (less than 10). I didn't mention these and my naturalisation application was approved.
