No and no8- Are referees required?
9- Does being in the country matter on the same day of the application date?
talreh20 wrote: ↑Sun Oct 06, 2024 10:32 pmHi Gurus,
My wife and daughter's visas are expiring in next couple of days. They both are on FLR (M) 5 years route. They got this visa when i was granted ILR on long residency in July 2019.
Their history is as follows:
FLR (M) Sep 2019 to Mar 2022
FLR (M) Extension Apr 2022 to Oct 2024
I am completing their ILR form Set (M). Kindly confirm its the correct form to complete? As you've moved to FLR M, SET M is the correct form to use.
I also need your kind advice on the following:
The question in the form is:
'When did you first meet your partner' I can;t remember the exact date as in previous FLR (M) applications, the form only asked for month and year. In this form it is now asking for a date as well. Will giving an estimated date be ok e.g. 1 Jan 20XX? Yeah approximate would do.
'The second question is when did the relationship with your partner being'. Our relationship started straightaway. So if i give the same estimated date as the above questions say 1 Jan 20XX, would that be ok? Should be fine
During our FLR (M) first application and extension application, the form asked to upload the marriage certificate. Set (M) form does not ask for it. Do we need to upload that? which gets me thinking if i am completing the correct form? Your relationship has been acknowledged
Thank you in advance.

I submitted the application for my wife and daughter using set(M) form last week. Although their is checklist given, however, if someone can confirm if the following documents are sufficient:
Following are listed in the checklist for wife:
1- Expired passport (Checklist asks for all previous passports. all pages scanned)
2- Valid Passport (all pages scanned)
3- BRP
4- Declaration for spouse to confirm still married and living together and intend to live in the UK. What is this??
5- English Language B1 test
6- National Identity Card This is NOT required.
7- Cohabitation documents. We have three joint council tax letters for each year. Few Energy bills in joint names and rental agreements for each year in joint names as well. Will these be sufficient? My friend said he uploaded family photos as well and I read its a week form evidence. You do NOT need photos. Stop listening to other people!! You need evidence covering every 3 to 4 months for the last 2 years, in either joint names or addressed to each of you individually, from 3 to 6 different sources.
Following are listed in the checklist for the daughter:
1- Expired passport (Checklist asks for all previous passports. all pages scanned)
2- Valid Passport (all pages scanned)
3- BRP
4- Birth certificate
For me checklist asks for the following:
1- Last 6 months payslips. I am employed with the same employer since 2019. Earning over £40k.
2- Bank Statements for last 6 months corresponding with the salary received. I have downloaded from my online banking. Is that ok? or do i need to go to the bank and get these printed and stamped?
3- A letter from Employer to confirm the job, salary, time with the employer etc.
4- My settled status. So when my wife and daughter got their FLR(M) and extension, i was on ILR. I was naturalised in Sep 23 last year. So should I just upload my old BRP, British Passport and Naturalisation certificate? would that be Ok? [bYour British passport or naturalisation cert is fine. You don't hold ILR anymore!![/b]
Following are not listed in the checklist but i am inclined to provide:
1- Life in the UK Only email received and no certificate. So i have PDF the email. Is it OK? The form asked you to put the unique reference number, this is all that is needed.
2- Marriage certificate
Will the above suffice or do i need to provide anything else which I forgot to mention? Kindly advise.
I also have the following questions:
Do we need to provide my wife's bank statements? We are NOT relying on her salary. This is NOT required.
Do we need to provide Birth certificates, British Registration and British Passports of non-applying dependants? I have two daughters born in the UK and are British citizens. No.
Thank you so much for your help in advance.

Do i need to upload my expired Pakistani passports with my wife's visa application? I have now got a British Passport. The reason I am asking is because when we applied for FLR(M) extension, we provided my Pakistani passport with ILR BRP. This time we have only provided British Passport and Naturlisation Certificate. If you can kindly advise as the visa appointment is today.
Many thanks
