Skilled visa with SOC Code 3132

Hi Everyone,

I had applied visa on SOC 2139 shortage, homeoffice sent an email that occupation designated by employer is not in shortage so pay the remaining non shortage application fee(£480), however my salary was 26200 and ongoing rate for SOC 2139 was 32000.

I felt I might loos 20 points, based on solicitor's suggestion I withdrawn my case.

Need to ask, how about job code 3132 (As it is fulfilling my salary requirement) this time, does it come under RQF 3?

anyone got visa with this SOC code?

I searched on it and found it partially comes under RQF 3.

Occupation is : IT technician/IT engineer/Support Engineer - 26200 Per Anum.

The SOC code is stated in the CoS and it is the sponsor''s choice, not yours. and you can only apply on the basis of the CoS assigned to you

Not sure I understand this post correctly, but OC 2139 is in the shortage occupation list and someone applying under this code can be paid 80% of the going rate: £25,680 (or £13.17 per hour - see: SWV - shortage occupations).

OC 3132 is not an occupation in shortage, but it's in the list of eligible occupations for a skilled worker visa.

i had a same case like you. i got cos on 2139 code. after i informed to HR about wrong code. the game me 3132 code cos. i had applied visa

Did you get your visa on code 3132 and I also got 3132 code from my company and I have exactly £26200 salary threshold.
Please guide if you face any issue regarding this

In 2139 Soc Code, Do only cyber security specialist roles comes under shortage occupation or all the roles like IT Consultant , Quality Analyst, Software Tester, Systems Tester(Computing) Telecommunications planner?
Note: I'm new to forum and I'm sorry if i'm not allowed to post here, I'll make sure this dont happen next time

2139 mentions only cyber security specialists in the shortage category, I guess this is the only role that can be allocated to this code. There are other codes with IT occupations in shortage so I believe the employer should assign the most appropriate.
