Naturalisation approval

Post by fakhardr55 » Tue Oct 17, 2023 6:51 pm

Hello experts, i had a quick query regarding naturalisation approval. I applied for naturalisation along with my husband and 2 kids and had our biometrics on 30/6/23. We received approval for my husband and my kids yesterday, but not for myself yet although i was the main applicant. Should i worry about this? Is it normal to get seperate approval for family members on same application?

Don't think you need to worry - hopefully you'll get the approval email shortly.
Whilst you all applied together each applicant is assessed individually (and probably not all by the same caseworker) - not as members of a family or group (and there's no dependent concept for citizenship).
This is just my opinion as a member of this forum and does not constitute immigration advice.

Thanks for the response. Yeah i quite agree ofcourse there is no dependent status for naturalisation application. What i meant was that we applied together under same refrence. I am hoping to get the approval email soon 🤞

Regardless , they are still processed as individual applications

I suppose you may have already done so, but in your situation, I would write to furthernationalityenquiries@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk

Best of luck.

Just wanted to add to the above advice. Also send to FurtherNationalityEnquiries@homeoffice.gov.uk

Did your family members already receive Council invitations? If not, it might be worthwhile checking with the Council if your naturalisation certificate has also arrived?

My family had their ceremony last week and applied for passports. Until then council said they haven't got anything for me as yet.

Update!!

Finally got my approval. Very interestingly didn't hear back from furthernationalityenquiries. Found Citizenship.Support@homeoffice.gov.uk email address randomly on Facebook and to try my luck dropped an email to them. Recieved a reply today early morning from them that my application was approved on the 6/10/23 along with my family and they missed to send me the email invite for ceremony. Few minutes later got an email from home office atlas regarding the approval. I found this weird but finally its over.
