^^ i dont think they have moved. if they had moved then they would have mentioned it in their website. all it says is if you appeal then send it to abu dhabi office...

hiya,

i don't know. that is what RiFF said once and also what i have been hearing. Yeh, they have written in their website to send the appeals to UK or Visa Section, UAE. This sort of indicates that their visa section has been moved to UAE. But God knows what is going on. They would not mention their shifting on their website unless they have completed their shifting. We all know that things happen ages before it is officially announced. I hope they have not moved though.

petalro we wer told 40 working days by officer in VAC. But judging by the speed at which BHC are working at the moment, i reckon it will probably be closer to the 60 working days target that they set for themselves before we get a reply!

they cant stik to one story .. this is what i have read on da website "The British High Commission, Islamabad, is currently processing all applications within 5 working days. However if secondary checks are required this may extend up to 15 working days. Some applications may require additional processing time if further enquiries need to be made, for example if there is a need to refer to the Home Office in the UK. In all such cases applicants will be advised that their application falls into this category."

Salaam
Just returned back from Pakistan after marrying my fiance in Lahore. We filed her application at the Gerry's UKVAC in Lahore on the 27th Nov 08 and waiting for the response. We included the documents and evidence which was asked for and didn't go overboard. Hopefully, they'll get back to us sometime in the new year. I have just two points which I need to mention and if someone would answer.

The only thing which we did not submit were the photographs of the wedding and the officer did mention this to her. We could not get the pictures developed in time. Although we did include the original wedding invitation and photographs of us both together on outings we've had.

Secondly, I share joint ownership with my sister of the property we have. It is mortgaged and I pay 100% of the share alongwith the council tax which is also in my name. Both share equal ownership as both our names are mentioned in the title deeds.

She does not currently live in the property as she lives elsewhere, so under section 6.6.6 of the VAF4 form I mentioned her name in the box just in case the ECO raised this and wrote joint title deeds but does not live here at present.

I want to know if the ECO will object against my sisters name appearing on the title deeds and secondly, will not including wedding photographs affect the application ?

If someone would clarify these points, thanks.
Regards

Oh thats just great news. I was seriously hoping to find out something in the first week of Jan and after you mentioned these holidays it looks very much doubtful !

Staff at both Gerry's and BHC Islamabad are a joke.

Dont worry if al ur other documents are in check they wont reject ur app on the basis that u didnt include wedding pics. They'r OPTIONAL, not mandatory

Yeah exactly, that is what I thought. If it were mandatory requirement I would have submitted the photographs. The marriage certificate is the absolute requirment for the ECO to make a judgement on the validity of the marriage, wedding photographs just support this.

Having said that, i'm kinda glad now that I did include some photographs of us together. I'm just hoping every goes through I couldn't bear not being without my wife and not being able to see her. Its a torture. I have faith in Allah will help us through. Ameen.

Regards
