:? still waiting for cert, attended at 3 pm on 2.10. I can see they already announced even the next ceremony while they still have people waiting for the last ceremony certificates.

We (1pm attendees) got ours last week; I'd say yours should be out in another week or two (hopefully).

It is just frustrating, I applied as refugee and of course I do not have my passport or any travel document, I only need that cert to get the Irish passport and I can finally be able to travel! I applied in Nov 2021, attended ceremony in Oct 2nd and it is just outrageous having to wait this long for that cert! I got onto nearly all my local TD and they keep giving the same answer, I have my solicitor pushing at the same time and still not response, I even submitted a FOI and not success with that either, this process has been the most horrible experience I have been through in my life! sorry about the rant but I don't know what else to do!

The making people continue to wait is the worst part of this entire process.

1. Submit your application, wait.
2. Submit your evettting invitation, wait.
3. Submit your NVB request, wait.
4. Receive your approval and pay final fee, wait.
5. Receive invitation to a ceremony, wait.
6. Receive your naturalisation certificate in the post.
7. Submit documents for your passport and wait some more.

Each of these steps is waiting for months, not weeks.

At a minimum they should be obligated to hand over your certificate at the ceremony, especially as they continue to enforce attendance for completing the naturalisation process. Leaving people in legal grey areas for residency and travel purposes is unacceptable.

I live in Dublin 6 and a friend of mine attended the ceremony at the same time and he got his certificate last Monday and he also lives in Dublin, and I need attend a very important meeting in UK by end of this month so I have no legal traval document, I may cancel the meeting because of it... very frustrating

You will have to, I'm afraid - first time passport takes about a month and I have doubts airlines will accept naturalization cert as a travel document

Based in North County Dublin. perhaps the location indeed plays a role. very disappointing - it's been 6 weeks now since the ceremony.

i have a question for the certificate do you get sent confirmation from either the post office or the tracking number from the department of when the certificate goes out so we know when to expect it ? And if you are not there do they give it to someone else on your behalf ?

- no confirmation and tracking until you receive it
- depends on your postman. Mine shoved my cert in the postbox, but technically if you're not there they return it to storage facility and hold it for 3 days; after 3 days they send it back to ISD.

Thank you do they tell you that they are holding it ?

An Post will throw a "we missed you" card into your mailbox, as they do with all mail, but that'll be it - won't be any online notification or anything.
If it is returned to ISD, it's a whole other ordeal and I don't know how to get it out of them, so better not to get it to that point.

It finally arrived today, around 50 days after the ceremony

Is there anyone still waiting to receive their certificate from the 2nd Oct ceremony? Just looking to check if I am the only one here. It's been 60 days at this stage.

They're already getting ready for the next ceremony. You should be asking questions about it, either by yourself or via your MP.
