Spouse of ILR holder then became british citizen

Post by Yoyo77 » Sat Nov 25, 2023 1:11 am

Hi,
I have the ILR and my wife applied for a spouse visa. I also applied for naturalisation. I expect my wife to get an answer first. If my wife gets her spouse visa and then I become a british citizen, will her visa be still valid given that my status has changed from ILR to british citizen? Will my naturalisation if successful affect her visa?
Or does she need to do something?
Thanks

No, it won't affect it in any way.

It's the same spouse visa for British citizens and settled status ILR. No distinctions.
No sin in failing, you just have to try and try again!
