Post by rafi_aamiri78692 » Tue Nov 28, 2023 11:44 am

Hi,

I am filing my ILR application in June 2024 and during this time my son age is 18 years and 2 months since he studied from year 7 in UK and completed his GCSE last year and currently in sixth form (year 12)

But still do he need to take up IELTS exam for filing as ILR dependent please advise

Thanks

He needs a SELT, yes. A levels/GSCE don't count.

Also he would need a life in the UK test as well.

You can only use English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) qualifications if they’re on the list of approved tests. You cannot use other qualifications, for example GCSEs, A levels or National Vocational Qualifications (NVQs).

Read the above.
No sin in failing, you just have to try and try again!
